According to Article 206 of the Federal Constitution of Brazil, education shall be provided on the basis of the following principles. Four options reproduce the constitutional text; one does not. Mark the exception.
- Aequal conditions of access and permanence in school;
- Bfreedom to learn, teach, research and express thought, art and knowledge;
- Cpluralism of pedagogic ideas and conceptions and coexistence of public and private teaching institutions;
- Dfree public education in official schools;
- Ecompulsory religious instruction in all public schools.
