According to the Currículo da Educação Básica doSistema Municipal de Ensino de Blumenau (2021),planning literacy practices in a systematic andprogressive way along the formative path will help in thedevelopment of the following competences, EXCEPT:
- AObserve how the various teaching and learningmethodologies of German and English Languagesare established in different parts of the world in order to adopt a more plural, diversified and globalizedpedagogical practice.
- BIdentify similarities and differences between theGerman language, the English language and thePortuguese language/other languages, linking them to social, cultural and identity aspects, in an intrinsicrelationship between language, culture and identity.
- CCommunicate in German and English, through thevaried use of languages in printed or digital media,recognizing the respective language as access toolfor knowledge, for expansion of perspectives andpossibilities, for comprehension of values andinterests of other cultures and for the practice ofsocial protagonism.
- DUse new technologies, with new languages andinteraction modes, to research, select, share, positionyourself and produce meanings in literacy practices inGerman and English languages, in an ethical, criticaland responsible way.
- EIdentify your place and other's place in a plurilingualand multicultural world, reflecting, critically, on howGerman and English Languages learning contributes to the insertion of subjects in the globalized world,including with regard to the world of work.
