The planet is facing an unfolding climate crisis and unfortunately, travel plays a role in the carbon emissions that contribute to this crisis. Apart from drawing down a bunch of carbon over the trees’ lifetime (about 900kg of CO2), planting trees and reforestation in general have other great benefits: it provides growing habitats for animals, purifies water sources, controls flooding and erosion, and replenishes the soil with the nutrients needed for farming. They’ve planted 24,002,538 trees so far, and expect to plant many more!
