WPA was created by the WiFi consortium in 2003 as a way to address WEP vulnerabilities. WPA is designed to work in two modes:
- AWEP Personal and WEP Enterprise.
- BWPA Personal and WPA Enterprise.
- CMode CBC and Mode DBC Passphrase.
- DWPA Private and WPA Personal.
- EWPA Enterprise and WPA Private.
