The only correct rule of formal letters in English is that:
  1. Athe sender’s address should be written on the top lefthand corner of the letter.
  2. Bthe recipient’s name and address are written on the left-hand side of the letter, below the sender’s address.
  3. Ca possible closing expression is “cordially”.
  4. Dyou should use “Dear Mr. or Mrs.” at the beginning if you do not know who will receive the letter.
