In this early part of the 21stcentury the range of technologies available for use in language learning and teaching has become very diverse and the ways that they are being used in classrooms all over the world have become central to language practice. About the use of new technologies for teaching English, choose the correct alternative:
  1. ANew technologies are only substituting tools. As examples, slides substitute the blackboard and online dictionaries substitute paper dictionaries.
  2. BDigital technologies simply provide a medium through which teachers can meet the immediate needs of their learners.
  3. CThe use of new technologies promotes student engagement in classes, but activities do not need to have clear goals.
  4. DNew technologies have an impact on the development of pedagogy and may enable teachers to rethink what they do.
  5. EComputers are present in all schools; consequently, English teachers face no difficulties to use technologies in public schools.
