Pronunciation teaching not only makes students aware of different sounds and sound features but can also help them achieve the goal of improved comprehension and intelligibility.One question we need to answer is how good our students’ pronunciation ought to be. Should they sound like native speakers, so perfect that just by listening to them we would assume that they are British or American or Australian? Or is this asking too much? Perhaps we should be happy if they can at least make themselves understood. - Atanto quanto possível, deve-se buscar a pronúncia do falante nativo, seja ele inglês, americano ou australiano.
- Bé preciso valorizar os benefícios que um intenso treino da pronúncia traz para o objetivo de expressão na língua estrangeira com perfeição.
- Caprendizes podem optar espontaneamente por falar inglês de forma errada porque tal fato acentua sua identidade como estrangeiro.
- Dé impossível a aprendizagem da pronúncia adequada sem ensino explícito de sons e sotaques.
- Emais relevante do que a perfeição segundo um modelo de falante nativo é a capacidade de o falante se fazer compreendido naquilo que diz.
